Less is more when it comes to making the most of a small space. Our client has a beautiful Townhouse and wanted her garden to be an extension of her home.
The carefully considered combination of material allows this space to feel unified and intentional. Lush bamboo foliage gives privacy, greenery and also the rustle of the wind, a connection to nature that was so lacking before. Flower beds are kept in proportion and help merge the hard landscaped areas and soften the surrounding surfaces. With a feature cedar panel staging the specimen trees while also concealing the bulky but much needed garden shed. Protecting space to have a small lawn transforms the whole feel of this Garden Design, the asymmetric stepping stones create movement that encourages you from the house outward.
Depth is created in the space using lighting, uplighters emphasise the presence of specimens such as Dicksonia Antarctica and Japanese Maple so as that the garden really does become another room of the home.
We recently returned to this garden for some top-up garden maintenance. Check out the newest pictures and videos of the garden below in full bloom.
