The brief from our clients was to create a family-friendly city sanctuary. The site was a long tricky shape, so we needed to create a design to maximise usability and enjoyment of the garden.
What was once a long, narrow and unstructured space has been given a clear vision and revival in this Garden Design. The long featureless lawn was a particular bugbear of this couple and in their own words did not encourage them beyond the doorstep. The owner’s interaction with the garden has been reset due to the fresh layout, planting & integrated lighting.
The proportion of the garden lent itself to splitting into three distinctive areas, which now draw the user inward. The rear of the garden gets all the afternoon & evening sun,the prime destination now for evening drinks & long summer nights.
