Planting:

A mix of Japanese maples, mature trees, evergreen hedging, clipped shrubs, flowering perennials and ornamental grasses brings colour, texture and interest to the garden. Generous planting beds help soften the paving and create a more private, sheltered feel.

The original garden was uninviting and underused. We introduced a new layout with a level lawn, pathways, generous planting beds and a seating area surrounded by greenery.

Part of the design was incorporating an outdoor sauna at the back of the garden. We designed the space around it, creating a private area surrounded by trees and planting. The sauna itself was supplied by a specialist company.

We also added corten steel edging along the raised beds, which helps manage the changes in level and adds a lovely contrast to the softer planting.

Closer to the house, a new patio with comfortable seating gives the owners somewhere to sit and enjoy the garden. The planting includes flowering perennials, grasses and evergreen shrubs, bringing colour and interest throughout the year.

The result is a much greener, more inviting garden, with plenty of lawn, beautiful planting and different areas to enjoy.
