This cool Killiney garden makes no compromise on style even if tight on space. Our gentleman client has a keen passion for photography, on downsizing his home he opted for a Garden Room to house his very own photography studio.
The distinctive studio sets the material choice & its bold outline windows inspired us to mirror these strong shapes in the Garden Design itself.
By setting an angular path into a geometric lawn we have set a dynamic route to work, fitting of such a creative soul. Keeping with the bold theme we have introduced the graphic fronds of Tree Ferns along with the softer texture of the bamboo hedge line. Colour contrasts are brought in with glowing auburns & fiery reds of Acers and Euonymous Alatus.
The herbaceous planting provides pollinator-friendly Sedum and lavenders, with Biodiversity strengthened with pleached fruit trees giving blossom in the Spring time and fruit in Autumn. Providing Year-round interest as well as a biodiverse habitat for a new home.
The garden looks amazing from both the house and the studio.
