Site & Design Consultation, Garden Design, Garden Construction, Planting
The design intention for this space was to create a monochrome garden with a distinctively bold look of green-on-green planting. We also had some privacy needs to address as the site is overlooked in several aspects.
By building up just one side of the garden we brought structure and interest to this space without compromising the overall size available for lawn. This also protected the space needed to include a garden shed in the Garden Design in South Dublin. To ensure the bulk of the shed didn’t overpower the clean lines and freshness of the design we have discreetly set the shed behind a line of Bamboo hedge, which is repeated on the back wall to visually merge the two areas.
This hedge effectively doubles as a privacy screening from being overlooked in a densely populated suburban development. To ensure privacy along each side of the garden we have used Panelled Toppers to extend the height of the white-wash walls. Making it a much more comfortable space to sit out and enjoy, as a true extension of the home.
We recently returned to this garden for some top-up garden maintenance. Check out the newest pictures and videos of the garden below in full bloom.
