The garden was designed to give the family back their garden. It was overgrown jungle and was completely unusable. Tree surgeons removed all the unwanted trees and the grounds were levelled using heavy machinery. Local yellow Wicklow granite was used to build a raised planter at the rear of the garden, using the traditional method of lime mortar. The existing old granite walls were also re pointed using lime mortar. The paved areas are in beige limestone and edged with oatmeal granite setts.
